Mehmet grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. He came to the U.S. in 1980. He lived in the Washington DC area until 2021, and now lives in the Orlando area. He went to school in both countries and studied engineering and computer science. He retired in 2014. He enjoys, playing sports, traveling, reading, and writing.
